In 1955, a man by the name of Nick Aromandi approached six members of the Castle Hill community with an idea- to bring little league baseball to the youth of the his community. A year later, through their commitment and dedication, their dream of bringing youth baseball to the children of Castle Hill became a reality.

Established in 1956, Castle Hill Little League has been dedicated to providing the children in our community the opportunity to participate in the sport of baseball in a fun and safe environment. We offer supervised baseball programs for the youth of our community for youngsters ages 3 through 16. As we approach the 2007 little league season, we are delighted that our program has grown to over 500 baseball players annually. Since its existence, it is fair to say that thousands of children have participated in our baseball program throughout the years.

Castle Hill Little League is entirely a volunteer community organization. We depend on volunteers to organize and conduct every aspect. Not only do they serve as administrators, managers, and umpires, but they also help with field maintenance, fundraising, concessions, and numerous other special projects.
Each year, these volunteers dedicate numerous hours to ensure that the league operates successfully. We pride ourselves in being a family-oriented organization, working together with the children and parents of our community. In many respects, the league is the community. For the past fifty years, parents in our community have looked upon the League as a healthy and safe activity which provides an alternative to the trouble and violence that only comes from hanging out in the streets.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Castle Hill Little League Board of Directors is committed to provide a positive environment for all of our players regardless of age or ability. We require our coaches and adult volunteers to act as role models and teachers. While we strive to develop our players' baseball skills and to produce competitive programs, these objectives are secondary to good sportsmanship, integrity, character, and enjoyment of the game. We measure our success in terms of the number of players who return to our sports program each and every year.
As we prepare for the upcoming 2007 little league baseball season, we have continued our focus on the improvement of the overall safety of all our children in the league. We have continued to address the well being of all our players both from a physical and psychological standpoint. From the physical standpoint, we are constantly improving our fields, posting safety signs and purchasing new player equipment to keep our players safe. From the psychological standpoint, we have implemented in our Code of Conduct a strict policy dealing with unruly and unsportsmanlike behavior.
